FEC records use ALL CAPS names (e.g. "SMITH, JOHN A."). Search is case-insensitive. Partial names work.

Why $200? Federal law requires campaigns to report the name, employer, and address of every donor who gives $200 or more in a single election cycle. Donations below that threshold are reported only as aggregate totals. This database contains every itemized contribution on file with the FEC.
